Prism Potions Privacy Policy
Plain summary: your progress stays on your device unless you choose to sign in for cloud save, which keeps a copy in your own Google or Apple account. What else leaves your device is anonymous gameplay analytics keyed by a random ID, which you can switch off at any time in Settings, and - in the Google Play and App Store apps only - the data Google AdMob needs to show ads, which you are asked about where the law requires consent.
What the game stores on your device
Your progress (levels, stars, coins, boosters, hearts, settings, the level you are in the middle of) and an anonymous, randomly generated Support ID are saved in your browser's or app's local storage on your device. Nothing here is sent to us. You can erase your progress at any time in Settings → Reset progress; your Support ID and settings are kept so support codes keep working.
What leaves your device
Anonymous usage analytics. To find levels that are too hard, features nobody uses and bugs that crash the game, Prism Potions sends small event records to PostHog, Inc. (servers in the United States). Each record contains the event name (for example "level_complete"), game details such as the level number, move count and stars, and your Support ID so events from the same install can be counted together. These records do not contain your name, email address, contacts, location, advertising ID or any device identifier, and we do not use them for advertising. PostHog processes them on our behalf under its data processing agreement.
You choose this when you first set up your profile, and you can change it at any time in Settings → Share anonymous usage data. While it is off, no event leaves your device.
Error reports. If the game crashes, a short description of the error and the same game details above are sent through the same channel, subject to the same setting.
Purchases. In the Google Play and App Store versions, purchases are handled entirely by Google or Apple under their own privacy policies. We receive a purchase token to deliver what you bought; we never see your payment details.
Cloud save and the leaderboard (Google Play and App Store apps only)
Both are optional and off until you ask for them. The game never opens a sign-in sheet on its own; nothing in this section happens unless you tap to sign in.
Cloud save. If you sign in, a copy of your progress (the same data listed above) is stored through Google Play Games Services on Android, in a private folder of your own Google Drive that only this game can read, and through iCloud key-value storage on iOS. The copy lives in your account, not on our servers - we never receive it and cannot read it. It lets you carry your progress to a new device. You can stop it at any time in Settings → Sign out, and you can delete the copy by removing the game's data in your Google or Apple account settings.
Leaderboard. If you open the leaderboard while signed in, your total campaign stars are sent to Google Play Games Services (Android) or Game Center (iOS) and shown to other players next to the player name you have chosen with Google or Apple. No other game data is posted, and nothing is posted while you are signed out. The board is run by Google or Apple, not by us; to be removed from it, use the leaderboard controls in your Google Play Games or Game Center profile.
Your player name. When you are signed in, the game reads the display name your Google or Apple account uses for games so it can show you who is signed in. It is kept on your device and is never sent to us or included in analytics.
Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and Apple's by the Apple Privacy Policy.
Advertising (Google Play and App Store apps only)
The Prism Potions apps show ads through Google AdMob: short rewarded videos that you choose to watch in exchange for a heart or a booster, and occasional full-screen ads between levels. The web version shows no ads, and anyone who has made a purchase in the app is never shown the between-level ads.
To select, show and measure ads, Google's SDK collects data such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, device and app information and how you interact with ads. Google uses it under the Google Privacy Policy and, for ads, its partner data terms. We do not receive this data ourselves.
Your choices. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and other regions that require it, the app asks for your consent before any ad is requested and lets you review or change that choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices. On iOS the app also asks for permission to track through Apple's prompt; if you decline, ads are still shown but are not personalised. Ads are limited to content rated for general audiences.
Support email. If you email us, we receive whatever you send, including your Support ID. We use it only to help you and keep it only as long as needed.
Children
Prism Potions is intended for players aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct or delete data about you. Because analytics are keyed only by your Support ID, include it (Settings → Help & support) when you write to tomboban77@gmail.com and we will delete the events recorded under it. Requests about advertising data go to Google, since we never hold it; the Settings entry above and your device's advertising settings let you limit or reset it.
Step-by-step instructions, including how to remove a cloud save and a leaderboard score, are on the delete your data page.
Changes
We will update this page when the game's data practices change and update the date above.
